On November 20, 2014 the FCC released the tentative agenda for the December FCC Open Meeting. The FCC will consider a Second Report and Order to help close the “school and library connectivity gap”. The meeting will be on December 11, 2014 and FCC Chairman Thomas Wheeler circulated a draft plan which includes an increase in the E-rate fund by $1.5 billion annually.
Funds For Learning submitted a letter to the FCC Commissioners to add our voice to the chorus of stakeholders who have also expressed their support for the increase in funds.
