The latest funding waves issued this week by the Schools and Libraries Division include funding decisions for applicants in Funding Years 2007 and 2008. Commitments totaling $23.97 million were issued in all, with the vast majority dedicated to the upcoming Funding Year.
To date, commitments for the 2008 Funding Year are approaching $560 million. This is about $200 million ahead of Funding Year 2007 commitments that were issued at this time a year ago. According to an analysis by Funds For Learning, this will be the most in committed funding available at the beginning of any funding year in recent history.
