Today the FCC released the Brewster Academy Decision which remanded 27 appeals back to USAC for further processing. In all 27 appeals the applicants used an incorrect Service Provider Information Number (SPIN) on their Form 471. The FCC granted each of the applicants 15 days in which to file or amend incorrect SPINs. The FCC further ordered USAC to begin reaching out to applicants who use incorrect SPIN numbers beginning with the FY2007 applications. USAC is now to inform applicants of the problem and give them 15 days to fix it. USAC is also to assist applicants in determining which SPIN number is the correct SPIN for their Service Provider.

The FCC has also released a notice seeking public comment on the State E-rate Coordinators Alliance (SECA) petition regarding the FCC's March 13, 2007 decision on AT&T's on-line reimbursement process. In March, the FCC found that the process used by AT&T complied with FCC regulations. SECA has filed a petition asking the FCC to reconsider their decision. The FCC will accept public comments filed on or before June 1, 2007.
