The SLD released wave 11 in Funding Year 2006 committing close to $25 million. To date the SLD has committed $469 million and has approximately $3 billion pending. It is unclear when they will start to issue priority two requests.
Last week there was a very small 2005 funding wave released and this week the SLD did not send out any commitment letters for 2005. The FCC has mandated in many of their recent appeal decisions that the SLD process applications within 60 days. This could suggest that the SLD is focusing their resources on implementing those decisions as opposed to releasing 2005 funding waves and could explain the delay in lowering the discount rate below 85%.
