The SLD notified 541 applicants and 442 service providers that their applications were approved and committed $21,648,374.77 in the latest 2006 funding wave. This is the second consecutive 2006 wave in which the SLD did not deny any requests and hopefully signals a policy shift that they are going to work more closely with the E-rate stakeholders in the future to ensure E-rate commitments.
With this latest funding wave the SLD has committed $345,208,399 and has $3,152,699,978 pending.
