USAC recently submitted their Semi-Annual Audit Recovery Report to the FCC, highlighting any outstanding audit activities that are at least six months old. The report summarizes audit related recoveries as of February 28, 2006.
The report states:
- From 1998-2002, USAC has conducted 236 audits
- Total audited amount: $1,179,815,816
- Amount sought for recovery: $40,246,669
- Dollars recovered to date: $6,030,135
- Dollars sent to FCC under the Debt Collection Act: $3,514,030
