On September 14th the SLD committed another $20 million in wave 12 of the 2005 funding year. Over 300 E-rate applicants and service providers were sent letters this week which brings the total committed amount to $609 million with $2.6 billion pending. The SLD will continue to issue 2005 and 2004 funding waves on a weekly basis and unfortunately the FCC still has not approved USAC's recommendation to fund internal connections requests down to 87% for the 2005 funding year.
