On June 15, the Schools and Libraries Division will commit over $28.3 million for the 2003 funding year, in 167 letters to E-rate applicants. This wave will be designated for telecommunications services and Internet access, as well as internal connections at the 70-90 percent level. More than 33,500 Funding Commitment Decision Letters have been mailed to applicants for 2003 thus far. The next wave for the 2003 funding year is expected on June 29.
