The Schools and Libraries Division announced that on March 15 it will distribute letters approving $46 million worth of funding commitments for the 2003 funding year. The latest wave, number 24, will bring the total amount committed for the 2003 funding year to more than $2.1 billion.
The SLD is continuing to process the applications it received for the 2004 funding year. As of March 12, it had tallied $3.58 billion worth of requests for that year.
