On July 28, the Schools and Libraries Division will commit another $38.4 million for the 2003 funding year, in more than 400 letters to E-rate applicants. This latest wave applies to telecommunications services and Internet access, as well as to internal connections at the 90 percent level. This 8th wave for the 2003 funding year grows the SLD's total commitments to more than $746 million, dispersed via approximately 26,000 funding commitment letters. The next funding wave for the 2003 funding year is expected on August 11.
