The Schools and Libraries Division announced that on May 27 it will distribute 1,800 letters, with $36.5 million worth of commitments for Priority One services-telecommunications services and Internet access– for the 2003 E-rate funding year. So far, the SLD has committed $262 million worth of commitments for the funding year that starts July 1. There was no indication when it would be able to begin approving commitments for internal connections.
