The Schools and Libraries announced that it will distribute another $96 million worth of funding commitments for the 2002 funding year on December 2 in 211 letters to school and library applicants. There was no change in the threshold for approved internal connections requests, which is set for the time being at the 90 percent discount rate.
That brings to $1.55 billion the total that the SLD has approved for the funding year that began on July 1. It is currently authorized to approve up to $2.7 billion worth of commitments this year.
