The Schools and Libraries Division has created a new tool to enable applicants and service providers to check the status of a Form 471 application. By entering an applicant's Billed Entity Number and a particular funding year, the tool produces a list of all of the Form 471 applications that the applicant had started for that year, and how far along they have progressed.
The tool can be accessed at http://www.sl.universalservice.org/menu.asp by choosing the "Application Status" icon under the list of Form 471 choices.
