The Schools and Libraries Corporation is airing a special satellite video training

The Schools and Libraries Corporation is airing a special satellite video training conference for E-rate vendors and their customers on November 9, 1998, from 1pm to 5pm EST. The videoconference will cover each step of the E-rate process from funding commitments through implementation of discounts, with a special focus on the important roles that both vendors and applicants play in each step.

The November 9 videoconference will be available on C-Band in analog format on Galaxy 6, Channel 12 Vertical, 99 degrees west at 3940 Mhz. Audio is available at 6.8 Mhz. PBS is the uplink company. The name of the program is *Getting Paid: E-rate for Vendors.* A test signal will air at 12:30pm EST. Technical questions can be addressed to Richard Shahan or Ben Swecker at 800-609-2680 or 703-791-7328. During the videoconference, viewers will have the opportunity to fax in questions toll-free to SLC presenters at 800-228-6302. The videoconference will also be taped, and tapes will be available on a free loan basis upon request after the broadcast.
