In the sixteenth funding wave to be issued by USAC on September 9, 2010, over $28.56 million was approved for funding. This funding wave included 1,247 requests from 366 applicants. The average funding commitment per applicant was $78,044.82. The funding wave also included 355 service providers averaging $80,463.11 per request. The funding wave denied requests for 101 applicants, totaling $2.07 million. With this funding wave, to date for FY 2010, USAC has approved over $1.19 billion in E-rate funding commitments.
