Outgoing FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski today congratulated Tom Wheeler on his nomination for FCC Chairman. Genachowski stated that he will “be leaving a revitalized FCC in great hands.”
Wheeler’s appointment is contingent on an official White House nomination and congressional confirmation. While Mr. Wheeler’s nomination and confirmation are pending, Commissioner Mignon Clyburn will service as Acting FCC Chairman.
