The Funding Year 2015 E-rate filing window has officially been extended to April 16, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. In consultation between the FCC and USAC, they have decided to extend the deadline beyond the original date of March 26, 2015 to accommodate requests from schools and libraries nationwide.
The new Form 471 deadline will now make March 19, 2015 the effective deadline for Forms 470 to be used for FY 2015.
Funds For Learning conducted a survey of applicants on March 7th through March 10th, to determine if an extension would be necessary. Over 350 applicants responded with overwhelming support for additional time, citing new program rules and inclement weather hampering their application work.
