On May 6, 2015, the Universal Service Company (USAC) released their annual demand estimateto the Federal Communications Commission. The estimated FY2015 demand is $3.920 billion, based on 48,404 Form 471 applications containing 140,017 funding requests.
According to a Funds For Learning analysis, there were a total of 26,059 distinct applicants and 5,337 service providers that were referenced on FY 2015 applications. USAC’s demand analysis by service category and discount band can be viewed here.
