Funds For Learning reported on May 12, 2016, Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) wrote FCC Chairman Wheeler a letter outlining his many concerns regarding the rollout of the EPC to stakeholders. FCC Chairman Wheeler responded back to Senator Johnson in a letter dated June 3, 2016 in which he agrees that the rollout of the EPC has been challenging. However, Chairman Wheeler stated that the EPC is a necessary step to help with the SLD communication between the many stakeholders and is committed to working with USAC to continue to improve the tool.
