On March 31, 2018, the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) released its 2017 Annual Report. The report provides the Federal Communications Commission and Congress details about the non-profit company's activities, expenses, and performance measures regarding its management of the Universal Service Fund programs. USAC stated that over 98% of “viable” E-rate applications received their funding decision commitment letters by the end of 2017. According to the Annual Report, 88% of the 2016 applications received funding letters by the end of 2016.
