On October 16, 2018, USAC awarded the Business Process Outsourcing Services contract to MAXIMUS Federal Services, Inc, a federal contractor based in Reston, VA. On March 13, 2018, USAC released an RFP, looking to possibly unseat Solix, the current contractor that handles commitment and post commitment application and invoicing process. Solix has been the contractor for these USAC services since 1998. According to the RFP materials, the expected change over date will be January 1, 2019. While price was the primary factor in selecting the approved vendor, USAC also evaluated the vendor’s past performance with a similar size contract within the past three years.
