On March 29, 2023, the Universal Service Administrative Company submitted their annual demand estimate to the Federal Communications Commission. Based on “applications received on or before March 28, 2023,” USAC estimates the total demand for FY2023 to be $2.944 billion. They report that $1.658 billion was requested to support Category One purchases, and $1.286 billion for Category Two.
