On September 7, 2023, the United States Senate voted 55-43 to confirm the nomination of Anna Gomez to the Federal Communications Commission. The confirmation of Gomez fills all five Commissioner seats for the first time since President Joe Biden took office, and her term will run through 2026. Ms. Gomez currently serves as a senior advisor in the Department of State’s Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy.
