In the first three weeks of the Funding Year 2024 application filing window, applicants nationwide certified 5,599 Forms 471, exceeding FY2023’s pace by more than 200 applications. Total funding requested lags slightly behind last year’s pace, however, with FY2024’s total requested amount coming in around $10 million less than in 2023.
So far in 2024, there have been nearly 300 more schools and libraries who have filed applications in the first three weeks of the window than in 2023, suggesting an increase in early filers of smaller applications.
The Funding Year 2024 application filing window closes at 11:59pm Eastern time on Wednesday, March 27.
