On April 15, 2024, the Universal Service Administrative Company filed a letter and report with the Federal Communications Commission providing summary information for funding requests related to firewalls in Funding Years 2016 through 2023. “Pursuant to a request from [FCC] staff,” the report contains information about Category One funding requests where applicants indicated that firewall protection was included in their internet or WAN service, as well as Category Two funding requests classified as “Firewall Services & Components.”
This report comes a few months after the FCC summited documents to the OMB for the proposed Cybersecurity Pilot
