Guided by our principles, we are prepared to embrace what’s next and continue making a positive impact.
Since the E-rate program’s inception in 1996, it has evolved through six administrations and numerous Congresses, widely supported for its mission to connect America’s students, regardless of political affiliation. This resilience is a testament to E-rate’s importance, especially as the need for reliable internet access in education grows. Currently, the E-rate program connects more than 132,000 locations and reaches over 95% of all K-12 students, bridging the digital divide for millions.
At Funds For Learning, we view change as an opportunity to strengthen our mission. When the COVID-19 pandemic challenged our communities, the industry came together to advocate for solutions. Embracing our PARTS Guidemarks —Professional, Aware, Reliable, Team Player, and Solution Finder—we collaborated with others to champion off-campus connectivity. This collective effort helped spark a national movement, ultimately leading to the creation of the $7.17 billion Emergency Connectivity Fund, a critical resource for off-campus connectivity during unprecedented times.
As we look ahead to new leadership and policies, we remain committed to these principles. We will stay informed, adapt to new developments, and communicate openly with our clients and partners.
