After a week off, the Schools and Libraries Division issued another 139 Year 3 funding commitments on Nov. 17, totaling nearly $15.3 million or an average of about $110,000 per commitment. Through 28 waves, that brings the total committed for Year 3 to more than $2.08 billion.
The SLD expects to wrap up its Year 3 commitments within a few more weeks. The program is capped at $2.25 billion annually, but the SLD must deduct the cost of its operations from that amount. In the past, it has also set aside a contingency fund to cover appeals that were ultimately successful.
There was no change in the approved threshold for internal connections requests, as it remained at 82 percent.
