The Schools and Libraries Division distributed just under $10 million in funding commitments Nov. 16, bringing to $1.644 billion the amount of money the agency has committed for the E-rate program's fourth funding year.
With the latest, relatively small round of commitments in Wave Eight, the SLD has now committed about 73 percent of the total $2.25 billion worth of commitments it is permitted to disburse each year. There was no change in the level of approved internal connections commitments, which remains at 90 percent. The SLD has now distributed 25,400 funding commitment letters for Year Four.
