The Schools and Libraries Division determined on June 12 that funds will be insufficient for the 2002 funding year to make funding commitments on Internal Connections requests with discount percentages at 80 percent. Applicants who have Internal Connections Funding Request Numbers at 80 percent with an 'As Yet Unfunded" status, will be advised that those FRNs will be 'Not Funded" in the next wave of Funding Commitment Decision Letters for the 2002 funding year. The SLD had already announced that funds were insufficient to fund Internal Connections requests below the 80 percent threshold.
The SLD also determined that there will be insufficient funds in 2003 for applicants who are below the 70% threshold. There has not been a determination yet on the discount percentages between 70% and 90%.
