SLD Commits More Than $78 Million in Priority One Services for 2004

The Schools and Libraries Division announced that on Tuesday, June 8 it will release more than 3,350 commitment letters, committing over $78.3 million for Funding Year 2004. This latest wave, the fourth, applies only to Priority One funds (telecommunications services and Internet access).

Including the June 8 notifications, the SLD has so far issued 12,653 letters for Funding Year 2004, totaling over $178 million in commitments. The next wave of commitment letters for 2004 is expected the week of June 21.
