The Schools and Libraries Division has announced that George McDonald will step down as Vice President of the SLD effective June 30, 2005. Mr. McDonald was named Vice President of the SLD in September, 2001.
Before serving as Vice President, he was the Director of Operations of the SLD. Prior to joining USAC, Mr. McDonald was Deputy Director of the office of Budget and Program Performance for the Department of Transportation. Mr. McDonald is a graduate of Fordham University and holds a BA in Mathematics.
Mel Blackwell has been named as the Acting Vice President of the SLD, effective July 1, 2005.
