Over the last few weeks the SLD has issued several funding waves for several years' worth of funding.
The SLD has issued three 2005 funding waves to date totaling $328 million. On July 13th the SLD issued Wave 3 for Funding Year 2005. The total requested amount was close to $27 million and the SLD funded approximately $21 million worth of commitments.
On July 12th the SLD committed $21 million in Wave 24 for Funding Year 2004 while denying $6 million mostly to applicants who fell below the 81% discount threshold. The SLD has committed $2.54 billion for 2004 with $355 million still pending.
The SLD recently released a 2002 Wave totaling $20.5 million and is expected to release a 2001 wave on July 14 totaling close to $140,000.
