Consortias Getting Denied in 2005

The SLD sent Funding Year 2005 funding letters to over 600 applicants and 500 service providers this week committing $18.8 million. Unfortunately, close to $55 million was also denied for a variety of explanations. This week's 2005 Wave 15 brings the total committed to $666 million. There have been several instances where statewide consortia have been denied this year because their Letter of Agencies (LOA's) from their schools did not have the appropriate language. In January 2005 the SLD posted new guidance on the SLD website regarding LOA's which can be viewed at https://www.usac.org/sl/applicants/step01/letter-of-agency.aspx

The SLD also released a small 2004 funding wave committing only $62,500. The SLD has $288 million pending in 2004.

The 2004 and 2005 funding wave can be viewed at E-rate Manager Wave Reports.
