On October 12 the SLD released the first 2005 funding wave consisting of internal connections requests at the 90% discount threshold. Over 850 applicants and 550 service providers were sent letters this week notifying them of the status of their 2005 requests. The SLD committed $63.7 million this week and $42.6 million was for internal connections and another $5.8 million for basic maintenance which brings the total committed amount for 2005 to $730 million with $2.4 billion pending.
