On Ocober 26 the SLD sent out nearly 300 letters to applicants and another 300 to service providers notifying them the status of their 2005 funding requests. The SLD committed $16,325,577.84 of which $1.5 million was for internal connections and $180,000 was for basic maintenance. In 2005 the SLD has committed $900 million and has over $2.2 billion still pending.
The SLD committed $1.3 million to one school for the 2004 funding year this week as well. That brings the total committed for 2004 to $2,283,190,522 with $272 million still pending. The SLD will continue to issue weekly 2004 and 2005 funding waves until the process is complete.
