Last week the SLD sent funding letters to over 450 service providers and applicants notifying them the status of their 2005 requests. Over $1 million in internal connections commitments at the 90% discount threshold was committed and close to $500,000 for basic maintenance requests was funded as well. That brings the total 2005 committed amount to over $1 billion with close to $1.9 billion still pending. Close to $630 million has been denied in 2005 requests.
The SLD committed $162,000 in funding year 2004 requests and still has over $266 million pending. The SLD has under 200 potentially fundable 2004 applications left to decide.
