The SLD notified 741 applicants and 571 service providers about their 2006 commitments. Close to $42.6 million was committed which brings the total 2006 commitments to $283,891,559 with $3,214,008,823 pending.
This week the SLD committed approximately $4.6 million in wave 49 for FY 2005. Close to $2.6 million was committed for priority two funds. The total committed in FY 2005 is $1,656,462,660 with $810,315,552 still pending.
Three Hurricane Katrina affected applicants received 2005 commitments this week. The SLD has committed over $8 million so far for E-rate applicants affected by Katrina.
