The SLD released wave 34 in Funding Year 2006 committing over $32 million and notifying 387 applicants and 459 service providers about the status of their 2006 requests. Nearly $16 million was committed in priority two requests. The SLD has committed $1,577,557,086 and still has $1,359,955,378 pending in FY 2006. In this funding wave the SLD notified two schools in Louisiana about their special Hurricane Katrina related funding.
