The SLD has released Wave 46 for Funding Year 2007 which includes a significant amount of decisions in the Priority Two service categories of Internal Connections and Basic Maintenance. In total, over $225 million in commitments were made this in wave, which is almost 10 percent of the total amount of funding committed for Funding Year 2007 to date.
As expected, this wave included a large number of Priority Two rejections for requests that fall below the Discount Threshold. All funding requests below the established funding threshold of 81% will be rejected because of a lack of available funding due to the demand of requests. In all, 6,642 requests were rejected in this wave.
In terms of dollars committed, this is the second largest funding wave for the funding year. This wave second to Wave 12 that saw $385 million in commitments. Wave 12, released on July 26, 2007, was the first wave that included major commitments of Priority Two funding.
