FCC Approves FY 2012 PIA Procedures

On April 24, 2012, the Federal Communications Commission approved USAC’s Program Integrity Assurance (PIA) FCC Form 471 Review Procedures, dated December 9, 2011. The approval of the SLD’s PIA procedures, combined with the USAC Schools and Libraries Committee Board’s April 23 recommendation to start issuing FY 2012 Priority One funding waves between 20%-90%, should pave the way for the SLD to release the first FY 2012 funding wave within the next several weeks. For FY 2011, the first funding wave was released on June 23, 2011, and the first FY 2010 funding wave was released on May 26, 2010.
