The deadline for stakeholders to file initial comments in response to the E-rate Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) (Docket 13-184) was September 16, 2013. Nearly 750 stakeholders filed comments and advocated for reform in order to streamline the application process, find efficiencies within the program administration, change eligibility regulations and reduce waste, fraud and abuse.
