FCC Chairman Ajit Pai recently responded to Senator Nelson’s February 7, 2017 letter that outlined his concerns for Pai rescinding the FCC E-rate report that was released on January 19. In Pai’s response to Senator Nelson he reiterated his support for the E-rate program. Pai stated that “…a more effective E-Rate program-one that promotes better connectivity for students and library patrons alike-can be a powerful tool to help bridge that divide. E-Rate is a key component of the Universal Service Fund and can help millions of children in America benefit from digital learning…”
