The Summer deferral period begins this Friday, May 28, 2021 and ends Friday, September 10, 2021. SLD recognizes that many administrators may be unavailable to answer program integrity assurance (PIA) questions during the summer and will not penalize applicants for not being responsive during this time frame. During summer deferral period, the review process continues when SLD receives documentation or participants have responded to information requests sent in EPC. If SLD doesn’t get a response during this time, a deferred status is placed on the form until the deferral period ends, then the regular review process continues.
