On August 20, 2021, the FCC announced that they are seeking nominations for six Board Member Positions on the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) Board of Directors. Each Board Member position is for a three-year term. USAC is the designated vehicle of distribution of the federal Universal Service Fund (USF) by the FCC. It is governed by a board of directors representing a variety of stakeholders.
Nominations are due October 20, 2021.
The FCC is seeking representatives from:
- Interexchange carriers
- Rural healthcare providers
- State telecommunications regulators
- Incumbent local exchange carriers
- Schools
- Information service providers
