On June 9, 2022, the Federal Communications Commission announced that more than $244 million has been approved for Emergency Connectivity Fund applications filed during the third application window. The first round of ECF3 commitments were issued to almost 300 school and library applicants in 42 states.
With the inclusion of third window funding commitments, the total amount approved in the Emergency Connectivity Fund program crossed the $5 billion mark to $5,141,046,874.26 as of June 9, 2022.
