On August 22, 2022, the Federal Communications Commission issued a Public Notice seeking nominations for six member positions on the Board of Directors of the Universal Service Administrative Company. USAC is the designated vehicle of distribution of the federal Universal Service Fund (USF) by the FCC. It is governed by a board of directors representing a variety of stakeholders, and each Board Member position is for a three-year term.
Representatives are being sought from:
- Commercial mobile radio service providers
- Cable providers
- Schools eligible to participate in E-rate
- Libraries eligible to participate in E-rate
- Incumbent local exchange carriers
- State consumer advocates
