As of October 27, 2022, applicants nationwide had filed 2,020 FCC Forms 470 to start the E-rate competitive bidding process for Funding Year 2023. Representing an almost a 40% increase over the same time for FY2022, it is clear that applicants are getting started early on the E-rate process for the upcoming year.
Of the 2,020 FY2023 470s filed so far, 51% included Category One line items. This is a slight increase over the same time period for FY2022, where 49% of the Forms 470 referenced Category One services:
