On October 19, 2022, the FCC announced it is committing nearly $78 million in funding rounds through the Emergency Connectivity Fund program (ECF). The Commission noted that the funding commitments support applications from first and third application windows, benefiting approximately 175,000 students across the country.
To date, over $6.1 billion in ECF funding commitments has been approved. Approximately, $4.1 billion is supporting applications from Window 1, $833 million from Window 2, and $1.1 billion from Window 3.
