On March 1, 2023, the FCC announced it is committing over $20 million in a new funding round through the Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) program. The funding commitments supports applications from all three ECF filing windows. According to the Commission, approximately 190,000 students across the nation will benefit from the funding commitments.
To date, the FCC has committed over $6.6 billion to schools and libraries as part of the ECF program. Of the total funding commitments approved to date, nearly $4.14 billion is supporting applications from Window 1; $833 million from Window 2; and $1.65 billion from Window 3.
