As of July 28, 2023, the Emergency Connectivity Fund program had authorized the payment of $3,500,921,451 to applicants and service providers for the purchase of at-home broadband services and connected devices. In total, $7.171 billion was allocated to the ECF as a part of the American Rescue Plan Act, with approximately $144 million allocated toward support and administration of the program.
In three application filing windows, schools and libraries across the country requested more than $8 billion in ECF support, with $6.3 billion committed as of July 28.
